All about Fractured Pawn

Fractured Pawn is a board game & media production company since 2022. First starting as a passion project for the long time dream of owner/creator "Ghost", an avid lover of board games, to design their own game and give it out to the world. Looking around the internet at videos and BoardGameGeek there was a noticable gap of simple, portable, solo (or 2-4player) board/card games available. And so, those aspects inspired the focal points for Fracture Pawn's creations: To create games that are portable, cost effective, bring in new and interesting mechanics, and most importantly be fun!
It all started with a simple roll and write game called A Bug On The Motherboard and has lead to the creations of simple and easy to play TTRPGs, the world wide popular solo board game The Graveyard Shift, and soon to be audio podcasts (to name a few).

Whether playing solo or with a group of friends, Fractured Pawn has much to offer - so have Fun 'til you Fracture!

Fractured Pawn's Mission

  1. New Mechanics
    Games come with all types of mechanics: deck building, dice rolling, euro-markets, and so many more. But, some games rely too heavily on luck (taking away the feel of player accomplishment), while others rely too heavily on player strategy or interaction (making the game too complicated or long). At Fractured Pawn we strive to find a balance of strategy and luck in all our games, this way players can feel accomplished while also getting the excitement of the unknown. We also aim to bring in niche and fun mechanics not normally seen, like "I pick, You choose" {featured in Vincent's Garden Harvest, coming soon}.
  2. Compact & Portable
    While browsing online forms and videos, Ghost discovered a demand for certain types of games & players. There were so many solo, couples, or small families that loved board games but didn't have anything small enought to fit into a purse/pocket or that was quick enough to play by themselves at the bar, on a date, or to occupy the kids while waiting for food at a restaurant. So Fractured Pawn prides itself on making small form factor games that can be played quickly (< 15mins), with little (to no) extra components or required table space, and play from 1-4 players!
  3. Cost Friendly
    Game parts and cards can get expensive, but that doesn't mean the game must be. Our games are all about bringing fun and enjoyment to the table - not taking it out of your wallet. We make the lowest amount of profit possible from our purchasable games - sometimes only $1 - and otherwise give them away for Free (or offer other formats for no cost / donations optional)! This way you will always get our games for the cheapest price possible, or the low cost of printing them at home, or free using your digital device!
  4. Fun & Replayability!
    Our games provide a mix of styles from thoughtful strategy to laid back fun, unique themes and mechanics, and most importantly replayability! We want to provide the maximum amount of fun until you fracture! Also a majority of our games are also family friendly (some even educational) but still provide enough cool factor for adults of all ages to play solo or together!
